Ford Pro Electric SuperVan 4
Do you need a 1,400-plus-horsepower electric Transit with aero like a comic book? No. Do you want one lapping a hillclimb while sounding like a spaceship? Obviously. The Ford Electric SuperVan 4 is the dream van turned fever dream: a carbon-fiber, tri-motor (sometimes quad), track-slaying silhouette that happens to wear a van-ish shape.
It’s theatre, and that’s wonderful. Under the skin sits motorsport-grade everything: race suspension, brakes like bear traps, and torque vectoring that makes hairpins feel like physics is cheering you on. Inside, there’s a bucket seat, a wheel, some switches, and the distinct sense that your dentist would not approve of what your face is about to do.
As a concept and demonstrator, the SuperVan revives a storied Ford tradition of silly-fast vans. It exists to delight crowds, test tech, and remind the world that utility can be interesting. Watching it move is to recalibrate what a box can do. Dream? Absolutely. Useful? Only if your job is to make audiences scream.
The point is inspiration. SuperVan takes the humble van silhouette and launches it into the future at ludicrous speed, then lands it back in your subconscious where it quietly convinces you to spec the big motor and sticky tires on your next real van.
Who it’s for: Anyone with a pulse and a calendar set to “festival.”
Best bit: Watching a “van” brake later than sports cars like it didn’t read the rules.
Consider if: You value subtlety. This is not it.
